Reyna Rahaman

Hi, my name is Reyna! I'm a Licensed Associate Counselor, and becoming one has truly been a dream come true ever since I took my first Adolescent Psychology class and realized how much I wanted to help people work through life's challenges.

As a counselor, I believe therapy should feel like a supportive and judgment-free space where you can truly be yourself. My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I see us as a team working together to help you better understand and empower yourself, and find meaningful ways to heal and grow. I enjoy working with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and I have a special interest in helping people explore their cultural identity and family relationships.

A little about me personally: I'm mixed, with my mom being from Ecuador and Chile and my dad from Guyana, so I grew up surrounded by a unique blend of cultures. Outside of the therapy room, I'm a martial artist (I recently earned my black belt!) and grew up playing soccer from ages 5 through 18. I'm also a big fan of all things beauty (hair, makeup, skincare tips, you name it!) and I absolutely love to read.

Most recently, I became a proud cat mom to a sweet 10-year-old named Luna.

I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're not sure what to expect or who your counselor will be. I hope this gives you a small glimpse into who I am and helps you feel more at ease. I'm truly looking forward to walking alongside you on your therapeutic journey
