Mya Smith

My name is Mya Smith, and I’m a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. I stepped into this work because I’ve witnessed through friends, family, and my own experience, just how important genuine relationships are. We aren’t meant to move through life alone; it’s through connection, understanding, and compassion that we begin to thrive.

My goal is for anyone who sits with me to feel heard, understood, and supported. I take a warm, empathetic, and flexible approach, adjusting my style fit the needs of the person in front of me. I’ve worked with adults navigating mental health challenges, crisis situations, and major life transitions, and I’ve learned that meaningful healing always begins with connection.

Outside the office, I feel most grounded in nature, whether I’m hiking, camping, or trying to identify what type of bird I just spotted, being outdoors reminds me to slow down, and notice the beauty around us. I’m also an avid reader who loves to get lost in good fantasy or sci-fi book with my two black cats, Hades and Athena, curled up on my lap.

My goal is to create a space where you can feel safe, encouraged, and open to grow at your own pace. I strongly believe that healing happens through genuine partnership, compassion, and recognizing the strengths you already carry.

I would be honored to support you on your journey.
