Allyson Daly

My name is Samantha Abrams, and I am a therapist who earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware before completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Montclair State University. My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a strong passion for mental health, human connection, and advocacy.
I believe it is essential for people to feel truly heard, supported, and understood, and I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space for clients where they can explore challenges and move toward meaningful change. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families, and I offer both virtual and in-person therapy to individuals, providing a flexible and accessible space for healing from wherever you are.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and individualized, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). I have experience supporting clients through social and generalized anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions in both clinical and community settings. I also strongly believe that self-care is a vital component of mental health and overall well-being, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify realistic, meaningful ways to prioritize self-care within their daily lives.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy traveling, giving back to the community, and volunteering whenever possible. I also love spending time with my three dogs, watching movies, exploring photography, and being present for my friends and family. I’m a lifelong Harry Potter fan and value meaningful relationships—both inside and outside the therapy room.
