Naimah Carbon
I am Ms. Naimah Carbon — and I am truly passionate about empowering young minds to thrive! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and a Master's in Counseling and Guidance. With six years of dedicated experience working with children and adolescents, I am committed to creating a safe, uplifting, and supportive environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. I proudly serve as both an advocate and ally for the youth I work with.
Throughout my career, I have provided dynamic individual and group counseling for children and teens (ages 5–18), supporting them through grief, academic challenges, goal setting, social development, and overall mental and physical wellness. I bring extensive experience working with students with disabilities and those who have experienced trauma, offering compassionate crisis intervention and consistent emotional support when they need it most.
Above all, I believe strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for growth. I focus on building authentic connections that empower youth to develop confidence and resilience. Through peer mentoring, communication mediation, anti-bullying initiatives, and engaging Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, I help people strengthen their communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and emotional expression skills — equipping them not just for academic success, but for life.
