Hello, I’m AJ (aka Ajaratu)! I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a passion for art and nature therapy. I love incorporating creative and thoughtful elements into sessions and creating an overall welcoming and open space for patients to express themselves without judgment. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology at Rutgers University in 2020 and my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Montclair State University in 2024. As a first-generation Sierra Leonean American, I have seen just how powerfully culture and heritage can encourage connection and growth. I hope to empower patients of various backgrounds to absorb the wonders of healing. I often work with patients who struggle with ADHD, trauma and anxiety.
